Stephen Sullivan’s latest is a Plynlimon & Hafan coach from a Worsley Works etch. The domed roof ends are formed from a flat etch supplied in the kit - it can be done! The Halford’s Lada Cream is from a spray can and has been touched in successfully with Humbrol 103.
John Rees is converting a Bachmann Plymouth switcher using the Unit Models cab moulding. He has kept the wasp stripes from the N gauge ATSF finish. He plans to paint the loco in Humbrol 88 deck green, a.k.a. Lister green, with red chassis to match his Festiniog brake van. There is a driver figure in the cab but he is hard to see. Poor soul thought he was going to be driving a Bachmann LNER V2 mixed traffic loco. (That is where John got him from).
Brian Key has started work on a Backwoods L&B 2-6-2, which will involve building his first etched-brass chassis. Here are the results so far, at the coaling stage at Ilfracombe (East).
